Cause
Soiling on the surface of the ITB belt caused poor deposit of toner, consequently causing light image, indistinct image, or slightly uneven density area in the
main scanning direction.
Field Remedy
Execute the following user mode several times while checking the quality of output images: User mode > Adjustment/Cleaning > Cleaning inside Main Unit
> Start.

Description
When outputting a test print printout from such application software as Excel or Power POINT, or a printer driver, the background gets a wisteria violet tinge
and soiling (shadow) occurs under text. Therefore, the RB-A PCB was refitted for solution.
In this field case, copy images were normal.
- RB-A PCB is used to transform 1200dpi PDL image data with character spacing information equivalent to 1200dpi into image data equivalent to 600dpi.
Field Remedy
1. Re-fit the RB-A PCB.
2. If the symptom still occurs, wipe the terminal of the RB-A PCB with lint-free paper impregnated with alcohol, and then re-fit the PCB.
Note: When connecting the RB-A PCB, be sure to sandwich the PCB [3] between the mounting plate [1] and the leaf spring [2].

Description
Since purple fogging sometimes occurred in copying and printing, the PDRM-EF-A PCB was replaced with a new one for solution.
Cause
Since the PDRM-EF-A PCB was faulty, the printer output image processing was not performed correctly.
Field Remedy
1. Clean the terminal of the PDRM-EF-A PCB (upper) with lint-free paper moistened with alcohol, and then fit the PCB again.
2. If the symptom still occurs, swap the upper and lower PDRM-EF-A PCBs and check to see if the color of fogging changes.
Reference: The upper PDRM-EF-A PCB processes magenta and cyan images and the lower one does black and yellow images.
3. If the color of fogging changed in Step 2, replace the troubled PDRM-EF-A PCB with a new one.
4. If the color of fogging did not change in Step 2, re-fit all the connectors of the main controller PCB (main) with a new one.
5. If the symptom still occurs, replace the main controller PCB (main) with a new one.
