Specifying an Alternate Storage Location for Configuration Files
Purpose
The filename is set in the IOX_CONFIG_MEDIUM
Note
variable.
Sets the IOX_CONFIG_MEDIUM variable to specify a different
location.
For the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Router, replace location with
disk0 or disk1. Replace path with the path to the directory in
which you want to store the configuration files.
Note By default, the directory /disk0:/usr is available for
storing alternative configurations and other user files.
We recommend that you do not use a directory path
starting with /disk0:/config because that path is used
to store system files.
Saves the changes.
Boots the router.
Sets the configuration register of the standby RSP to EXEC
mode. You can also change the console baud rate, boot
characteristics, boot type configuration settings, and enable
diagnostic mode at the ROM Monitor mode.

validation mode or the EXEC mode during the next system
