3.4.6.2 Safeguard
This feature allows you to protect important information such as short message, phonebook
or call information.
You can set passwords for short message, phonebook and call information respectively or for
any of them. To set a password, select the item you want to protect and press the left softkey
to select.
For information that has been protected, you need to input the correct password to access
such information or this menu.
You will get notified if the password you've input is wrong.
The password of safeguard contains 4 digits, and the default password is 0000. It is
user-definable.
3.4.6.3 Changing password
You can change the password via this menu.
3.4.7 Security
3.4.7.1 PIN code
You can turn the PIN code feature on or off. If it is on, you are required to enter the PIN code
when the phone is turned on. A wrong PIN code will make normal operation impossible.
3.4.7.2 Call barring (network dependent)
This feature allows you to bar certain types of outgoing and incoming calls. To set Call Barring,
you need to input a code that comes with your subscription.
All: to bar all incoming and outgoing calls
International: to bar outgoing international calls
Inter Exc. Home:to bar all outgoing calls except for those within the country of
network registration
Incoming: to bar all incoming calls
When roaming: to bar all incoming calls when roaming
You are required to input a code that comes with your subscription to activate any of the
above functions. After the correct code is input, you mobile phone will connect the network to
activate the function.
Canceling call barring
The meaning of items under the Canceling menu is same as that described above.
You are required to input a code that comes with your subscription to canceling call barring.
