FCC Class A Notice - United States
Computing devices and peripherals manufactured by Lucent Technologies generate, use, and can radiate radio
frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions contained in this manual, may
cause interference to radio communications. Such equipment has been tested and found to comply with the
limits for a Class A computing device pursuant to Subpart J of Part 15 of the FCC Rules, which are designed to
provide reasonable protection against radio interference when operated in a commercial environment. Operation
of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause interference, in which case the user — at his own
expense — will be required to take whatever measures may be required to correct the interference.
Some components may not have been manufactured by Lucent Technologies, Inc. If not, Lucent Technologies has
been advised by the manufacturer that the component has been tested and complies with the Class A computing

IC-CS03 Notice - Canada
The Industry Canada label identifies certified equipment. This certification means that the equipment meets
certain telecommunications network protective, operational and safety requirements. The Department does not
guarantee the equipment will operate to the user's satisfaction.
Before installing this equipment, users should ensure that it is permissible to be connected to the facilities of the
local telecommunications company. The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of
connection. In some cases, the company's inside wiring associated with a single line individual service may be
extended by means of a certified connector assembly (telephone extension cord). The customer should be aware
that compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some situations.
