9 When installing the lower unit without
removing the power unit, be sure to sus-
pend the outboard motor. Otherwise, the
outboard motor could suddenly fall and
result in injury.
9 Be sure to tilt the outboard motor fully
and support it with the tilt stop lever. It
can not be tilted up partially. Otherwise
the outboard motor could fall back down
suddenly. (EHD, ED)
1. Set the gear shift to "N" position, and then
check that the mark a on the bracket 1
is aligned with the mark b on the shift
lever 2.
