To further enhance the UPS communication capabilities, Compaq offers UPS
option cards that provide additional management and control capabilities
during a power failure and are available at a minimum investment. Compaq
UPS option cards seamlessly integrate into the back of your Compaq UPS and
provide increased flexibility to communicate with multiple systems, multiple
UPS units, and network management applications.
Please visit the Compaq website for specific option card information at
www.compaq.com.
The UPS T2200 XR supports Compaq Extended Runtime Modules. The UPS
rear panel includes a power connector to which modules can attach. With two
ERMs, the UPS available runtime is approximately 30 minutes or greater.
WARNING: The UPS T2200 XR Extended Runtime Modules weigh 77 lb (35 kg).
Observe local occupational health and safety requirements and guidelines, and
obtain adequate assistance to lift and stabilize the equipment.
The UPS T2200 XR models include a Network Transient Protector (NTP) that
provides surge protection for connected communication devices.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the equipment, do not connect the Network
Transient Protector to a digital PBX line. Connect either to an analog phone line
or to a network.
