3. CC–1 Dispensing Valve.
A.
Remove syrup diffuser from dispensing valve
by pulling down.
B.
Place syrup diffuser and nozzle in sanitizing
solution.
4. Using a clean sanitized towel, wipe inside diffuser
area.
5. Using a nylon pot brush, clean removed parts with
sanitizing solution.
6. Install removed parts on dispensing valve.
CLEANING ICE BIN INTERIOR AND
SANITIZING SYRUP SYSTEM
The ice bin interior should be cleaned and syrup sys-
tems sanitized every 30–days
Cleaning Ice Bin Interior.
WARNING: The ice bin contains
hazardous moving parts. Do not
attempt to clean ice bin until Unit
power cord is disconnected from electrical
outlet.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE CHLORINE
CLEANSING POWDERS FOR
CLEANING. Use of chlorine cleaning
powders will cause corrosive action on metal
components.
DO NOT USE SOLVENTS OR OTHER
CLEANING AGENTS AS THEY MAY ATTACK
THE PLASTIC MATERIAL.
1. Unplug Unit power cord from electrical outlet.
2. Remove ice bin cover.
3. Using warm water, melt ice inside ice bin and on
top of coldplate. BE CAREFUL NOT TO USE TOO
MUCH WARM WATER AT A TIME AS FLOOD-
ING OF DRIP TRAY MAY OCCUR DUE TO WA-
TER NOT EXITING DRIP TRAY INTO DRAIN
HOSE FAST ENOUGH.
4. Remove thumbscrew securing ice agitator disc and
ice agitator on motor shaft.
5. Remove ice agitator disc and ice agitator by pulling
them straight up off motor shaft.
NOTE: Lime and scale deposits may be removed
from metal components by using a cleaner such as
Calgon Liquid Ice Machine Cleaner.

6. Using nylon brush (DO NOT USE WIRE BRUSH)
and detergent soap solution, scrub entire interior
surface of ice bin.
7. Rinse entire inside area of bin with plain water.
8. Wash ice agitator disc, ice agitator, and ice bin
cover in detergent soap solution.
9. Rinse ice agitator disc, ice agitator, and ice bin
cover thoroughly with plain water.
10. Install ice agitator and ice agitator disc on motor
shaft and secure with thumbscrews.
11. Using a clean container, prepare a sanitizing solu-
tion using 1/2 ounce of household bleach (Sodium
Hypochlorite) to one gallon of cold (Ambient) pota-
ble water (200–PPM).
12. Using a plastic bristle brush (DO NOT USE A
WIRE BRUSH), scrub ice bin cover, ice agitator,
ice agitator disc, and entire inside area of ice bin
with sanitizing solution.
13. Slowly pour remaining sanitizing solution into ice
bin which will allow sanitizing solution to run down
over cold plate surface and out through drip tray to
the permanent drain.
Sanitizing Syrup System.
CAUTION: Do not allow sanitizing
solution to remain in syrup systems
longer than recommended contact
time. Exceeding contact time will result in
damage to stainless steel components.
WARNING: Flush sanitizing solution
from syrup systems as instructed.
Residual sanitizing solution left in
systems could create a health hazard.
1. Remove dispensing valves nozzles, wash in mild
detergent, then reinstall nozzles on valves.
2. Disconnect electrical power to carbonator.
3. Shut off the main water supply, then close CO
regulator to the carbonator.
4. Disconnect syrup tanks from the syrup systems.
5. Activate the dispensing valves to purge remaining
carbonated water from the carbonated water sys-
tem.
6. Use clean empty syrup tanks for each of the fol-
lowing:
Cleaning tank – fill with hot (120° to 140 ° F)
