Caution:
Turn off all other equipment
before making any connections.
Notes:
• To connect to TV, use Audio IN terminals located at the rear of the sound bar.
• Refer the operation
manual of the equipment to be connected.
• Fully insert the plugs to avoid fuzzy pictures or noises.
• In some cases, a small background noise could emit from the sound bar, when you
use the RCA audio output terminal connection
from a TV-Set/DVD/Blu-ray
Disc
Player. In such case, please change the connection
to the headphone
terminal
connection.
This effect depends on the used TV/DVD/Blu-ray
Disc Player-Brand,
model and age, and it is not a quality matter from the sound bar.
• If the TV volume is continuously
at low level, the sound bar will automatically
power off. Increase the TV output volume to enjoy the sound from the speaker.
If the TV/monitor
has an audio output, connect it to the Audio IN jack on the rear
of the sound bar.

connect
the AC
power cord to the AC power input jack,
then to the AC outlet.

During power standby, the stand-by

Unplug the AC/DC
adaptor from the
AC outlet if the sound bar will not be
used for a prolonged period of time.
Use only the supplied AC/DC adaptor.

for battery
use:
Remove the battery if the sound bar will
not be used for a long period of time.
This will prevent potential damage
due
to battery leakage.
Caution:
Do
not use
rechargeable
battery
(nickel-cadmium

correctly replaced.
Replace
only
with
the
same
or
equivalent type.
Batteries
(battery pack or batteries
installed) shall not be exposed to ex-
cessive heat such as sunshine,
fire
or the like.
Installing the battery incorrectly may
cause the sound bar to malfunction.
Notes
concerning
use:
Replace the battery if the operating
distance is reduced
or if the opera-
tion becomes
erratic. Purchase "CR
2025", coin lithium battery.
Periodically
clean the transmitter
on
the remote
control and the sensor
on the sound bar with a soft cloth.
Exposing
the sensor
on the sound
bar to strong light may interfere with
operation. Change the lighting or the
direction of the sound bar if this oc-
curs.
Keep the remote control away from
moisture,
heat,
shock,
and vibra-
tions.
Press the ON/STAND-BY button.
The STAND-BY indicator turns BLUE.
Note:
If the power does nottum on, check whether
the power cord is plugged in properly.
To set the sound bar to stand-by mode:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button again. The
STAND-BY indicator turns RED.

If you turn off and on the sound bar again,
volume will start at lower level and gradually
increase to the last set level.
Sound bar operation:
Press volume up (VOLUME + ) to increase
the volume and press volume down (VOL-
UME - ) to decrease the volume.
Remote control operation:
Press the VOL + button to increase the
volume and the VOL - button to decrease
the volume.
Note:
When volume is maximum or minimum:
The VOLUME indicator: blinking
The SURROUND indicator: blinking

When the sound bar is connected to the TV/
DVD, etc., the AUDIO IN function is ready
to be used.
When the iNPUT button is pressed, the input
source will change.

Note:
The backup functionwill protect the memorized
function mode for a few hours shouldthere be
a power failure or the AC power cord becomes
disconnected.
Auto power on function:
• Whenstand-byindicatoris VIOLET,the sound
bar will automaticallypower ON if it detects
audio signal from connected equipment,
unless it is turned off manually (STAND-BY
indicatorturns red).
Auto power off and auto detect signal:
• The sound barwill automaticallygo to stand-
by mode (STAND-BY indicatorturns violet) if
no audiosignalis detectedwithin 20 minutes.
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range radio
technologythat enableswirelesscommunication
between various types of digital devices, such
as mobile phoneor computer.It operateswithin
a range of about 10 meters (30feet) without the
hassle of havingto use cables to connectthese
devices.Sincethe Bluetoothtechnologydoes not
require Iineof sight betweenthe communicating
devices,it is not necessaryto line upthe transmit-
tingdevice andthe receiver,as in the caseof infra
red technology.

There are many available Bluetooth Profiles
describing the basic communication methods,
specificfunctionsanduses,to enablecommunica-
tion betweendevices.
This sound bar supports the following:
CommunicationSystem: BluetoothSpecification
version 2.1 Bluetooth + Enhanced Data Rate
(EDR) Profile : A2DP (AdvancedAudio Distribu-
tion Profile)
A2DP enables audio streaming from an A2DP
equipped Bluetooth stereoaudio source device
(eg mobilephone)to this sound bar. By convert-
ing wirelessstereoaudiosignalto analogueaudio
signal,youcanenjoylisteningtothe soundthrough
this speakersystem.
AVRCP(AudioNideoRemoteControlProfile)is a
technologythat allowsa single remotecontrol to
control all BluetoothenabledAudio Video equip-
ment to which a userhas access.

Bluetoothdevices need to be initiallypaired first
beforethey canexchangedata. Once paired,it is
not necessary to pair themagain unless:
pairingis madewith morethan 8 devices.
Pairing can only be made one device at
a time. This sound bar can be paired to a
maximumof 8 devices. If subsequentdevice
is paired,the oldest device paired,wilt bede-
leted and replacedwith the new one.

device to detect this sound bar. (Refer
the source device operating manual for
details).
"SHARP HT-SB30" willappearinthe detected
devices list(if available) in thesourcedevice.
Notes:
• Placethe devices to bepaired within 1me-
ter (3feet)of eachotherwhenpairing.
• Somesourcedevices areunable to display
listsof detected devices.Topairthissound
bar with the sourcedevice,refer to the
sourcedevice operating manual f or details.

Select"SHARPHT-SB30" f rom the source
list. If Passcode* is required,enter"OOO0".
Pairingindbator(blue)onthe soundbarwill
stop blinking oncethe soundbar is success-
fullypairedwiththe sourcedevice.Pairing
information is now memorized in the sound
bar.
* Passcode maybecalled PINCode,Passkey,
PINnumber or Password.

Start the Bluetooth connection from the
sourcedevice.
Someaudiosourcedevices mayconnect w ith
the soundbarautomatically, otherwise follow
the instructions i nthe sourcedevice operating
manual t o startconnection.
Notes:
Ifthis soundbaror the sourcedeviceis turned
offbefore Bluetoothconnectionis completed,
pairingwilt not be completedand the pairing
informationwill not be memorized. Repeat
step 1 onwardsto start pairingagain.
Topair with other devices,repeat steps 1 - 5
for eachdevice.
This sound bar can be pairedto a maximum
of 8 devices. If subsequentdevice is paired,
the oldest device paired,will be deteted and
replacedwith the newone.
Once a device is ousted or deleted from
the pairing list, the pairing information for
the device is also deleted. To listen to the
sound from the device again, it needs to be
re-paired.Performsteps 1 - 5 to pair the de-
viceagain.
Passcodeof this sound baris fixed to "0000"
andcan only be pairedwith Bluetoothsource
devicewhose passcodeis also "0000".
Check that:
• The sourcedeviceBluetoothfunctionality i s ON.
Pairingd thissound barandthe sourcedevice
is completed.
• Any deviceconnected to the AUDIOIN socket
is turnedoff.

tion. If thishappens, l eavethe power on until n ormal
operationis possible(about 1 hour).Wipeoff any
condensationon the transmitterwith a soft cloth
beforeoperatingthe sound bar.
Make sure to disconnectall audio input cables
attachedto the sound bar beforeperformingthe
factory reset.

This operation will erase all data stored in

When this product is subject to strong external
interference(mechanicalshock, excessivestatic
electricity,abnormalsupply voltage due to light-
ning, etc.) or if it is operatedincorrectly,it may
malfunction.
If such a problem occurs, dothe following:

Set the sound bar to the stand-bymode and
turn the poweron again.

If the soundbaris notrestoredinthe previous
operation,unplugand plug inthe sound bar,
andthenturn the poweron.
