6.8 Miscellaneous troubleshooting

Miscellaneous problems and their possible causes and solutions
are described here.
Problem Possible causes
Display behaves Intermittent problem with
erratically: power to the display.
• Frequent unexpected
resets.
• System crashes or
other erratic behavior.
Buttons trapped by front
bezel.
Software mismatch
on system (upgrade
required).
Corrupt data / other
unknown issue.

Check relevant fuses
and breakers.
Check that the power
supply cable is sound
and that all connections
are tight and free from
corrosion.
Check that the power
source is of the correct
voltage and sufficient
current.
Ensure that the front
bezel is fitted correctly
and that all buttons are
free to operate correctly.
Go to
www.raymarine.com
and click on support
for the latest software
downloads.
Perform a factory reset.
This option can be found
within Menu > System
Setup > Settings and
Data Reset .
Possible causes Possible solutions
Important: This
will result in the
loss of any settings
and data (such as
waypoints) stored on
the display. Please
save any important
data to a CF card
before resetting.
