6.3 Radar troubleshooting

Problems with the radar and their possible causes and solutions
are described here.
Troubleshooting
Problem Possible causes
No Data or No scanner Radar scanner power
message. supply.
SeaTalk
problem.
Software mismatch
between equipment may
prevent communication.
Switch at scanner
pedestal in OFF position.
Possible solutions
Check that the scanner
power supply cable
is sound and that all
connections are tight
and free from corrosion.
Check relevant fuses
and breakers.
Check power source is
of the correct voltage
and sufficient current
(using voltage booster if
appropriate).
hs network Check that the Scanner
is correctly connected
to the display via a
cross over coupler or
SeaTalk hs switch.
Check the status of the
SeaTalk hs Switch.
Check that SeaTalk
cables are free from
damage.
Contact Raymarine
technical support.
Ensure scanner
pedestal switch is in
ON position.
