Operating Instructions
Read the ENTIRE IMpORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section
at the beginning of this manual including all text under
subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
TOOL SET Up - cutting Depth
TO pREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM AccIDENTAL OpERATION:
Release the Trigger, unplug the tool from its electrical outlet, and
allow it to cool completely before adjusting tool or installing accessories.
1. For greatest cutting depth, do not attach
the Depth Bracket. To limit cutting depth,
follow the directions below.
2. Remove the Acorn Nuts from
the front of the Handle.
3. Place the Depth Bracket over
the Blade and the protruding Bolts.
Workpiece and Work Area Set Up
1. Designate a well-ventilated work area
that is clean and well-lit. The work area
must not allow access by children or
pets to prevent distraction and injury.
2. Route the power cord along a safe route
to reach the work area without creating a
tripping hazard or exposing the power cord
to possible damage. The power cord must
reach the work area with enough extra length
to allow free movement while working.
General Operating Instructions
1. Plug the Power Cord into the nearest
120 volt, grounded, electrical outlet.
2. Turn the Temperature Knob to
the desired temperature.
3. Press and hold the Trigger to heat up the
Blade. The Blade will reach the operating
temperature in about one minute and will
remain at the temperature selected.
4. When the Blade has reached the pre-set
temperature, you may use the sharp edge
of the Blade for line cutting or use the side
of the Blade for wide groove cutting.

4. Secure the Depth Bracket with
the two Acorn Nuts.
5. Loosen the two Scale Screws.
6. Adjust the Depth Scale to the desired cutting
depth and tighten the two Scale Screws.
3. Use on a non-flammable surface only.
4. Have multiple class ABC fire
extinguishers nearby.
5. Secure loose workpieces using a
vise or clamps (not included) to
prevent movement while working.
6. There must not be objects,
such as utility lines or flammable objects,
nearby that will present
a hazard while working.
5. When the Trigger is released, power
to the Blade is cut off and the Blade
will cool down gradually.
cAUTION! The residual heat on the
Blade takes several minutes to dissipate.
Use caution while the Blade is still hot.
6. To prevent accidents, turn off the tool and
disconnect its power supply after use.
Allow to cool completely on a non-flammable
surface out of children's reach after use.
Clean, then store the tool indoors
out of children's reach.
