Change NAD
NAD stands for North American Datum.
A datum is used for mapping the earth
with reference points for various
coordinates. There are different maps
depending on what your location is and
it is important to have your GPS set to
the appropriate Datum. (Map)
 Press "page" until you get to the
menu screen
 Scroll down with arrow keys until
"set up" is highlighted; press
"enter"
 scroll down with arrow keys until
"units" is highlighted; press
"enter"
 Press down key until line below
"Map Datum" is highlighted;
press "enter"
 Scroll using arrow keys until
appropriate datum is
highlighted. (Note: In Canada
there are three most common
datum's: WGS 84, NAD 83 and
NAD 27. NAD 27 is often used
because maps in the Arctic are
older)
 "NAD27 Canada" appears; press
"enter"

 Press "page" to return to menu
screen
Mark a Track
A track is used to mark a route you
have travelled; so that you can take the
same way again. It is different from
marking a single point.
 Press "page" till menu screen
 Scroll down with arrow keys until
"tracks" is highlighted; press
"enter"
 Scroll up to "setup"; press "enter"
