. Read-out system
In this unit, each mode is properly used for a read-out system during
monitoring and shooting as described below.
During monitoring, the decimation read-out mode is used to attach importance
to the frame rate. During shooting, the all-pixel read-out mode is used to read
out all pixels.
. Read-out mode
n
The blackened portion in the figure indicates the pixel that is not read out. In the
high-speed draft mode, a signal is output from the first line.
1) All-pixel read-out mode
In this mode, the signals of all pixels are output in 1/7.5 seconds by non-
interlace operation.
The vertical resolution is approximately 800 TV lines. This mode is suitable
for loading a high-resolution picture so as to read out the signals of all pixels
simultaneously during identical exposure period.
2) High-speed draft mode
In this mode, the whole effective area is scanned in approximately 1/30
seconds by reading-out only the two-line signals (signals in the first and
fourth lines, and in the ninth and twelve lines) in eight lines. The vertical
resolution is approximately 200 TV lines.
This is the read-out mode in which importance is more attached to the
processing rate than the vertical resolution.
