Q729, Q730, Q738, and Q739 receive the Y, C, and sync signals produced on the
FM board from connector CN701. In this block, the Y and sync signals are mixed to
the proper value in a resistance ratio and sent to the later stage of a video circuit.
F702 is a low-pass filter (LPF). F702 is used to produce the band-limited Y signal.
A cut-off frequency is set to 5.5 MHz.
F703 is a bandpass filter (BPF) for the chroma (C) signal. The band is set to 3.58
MHz or 4.43 MHz according to the NTSC or PAL system.
IC705 has a VCA function. The adjustment width in two channels is controlled ± 3
dB according to the external potential and adjusted so that it reaches the prescribed
signal level. Each signal output from IC705 is grounded at the emitters of Q732 and
Q733. The signal halved in this block is sent as a video signal for driving the liquid-
crystal display panel described previously.
Y and C signals are mixed by Q734, and the composite video signal driven using
75 Z driving circuit IC706 is output from video jack J701 to the outside of a camera.
The power of IC706 has been designed to be turned off by Q737 when it is not
connected to video jack J701 for ensuring the energy saving of the camera.
Connector CN703 is a 68-pin PC card connector. A memory stick is inserted into
CN703 through the PCMCIA-based flash memory card or adaptor that is used as the
recording media of a camera. This connector is mounted on the IF-717 board. The
PC card is connected to a system controller through connector CN701.
The PC card including the power is controlled in this case. The operation switch or
power switch signal of a camera is sent to connectors CN706 and CN704.
Board-to-board connector CN705 is a connection pin used for checking or adjusting
each board of this camera. The signal from two microcomputer communication
lines based on RS-232C specifications and the signal at the adjustment point during
adjustment on the IF-717 board are output. These signals are observed to make
adjustment.
