Interfacing
The following formats are supported for connection of
external devices.
Garmin Proprietary Sentences—PGRME (estimated
error), PGRMM (datum string), and PGRMZ
(altitude).
The NMEA 0183 version 3.01 interface format is
supported by the Receiver and enables the unit to
drive up to three NMEA devices.
The following are the sentences for NMEA 0183,
version 3.01 output:
Approved sentences—GPGGA, GPGLL, GPGSA,
GPGSV, GPRMB, GPRMC, GPRTE, GPVTG,
GPWPL, GPBOD, and GPAPB.
Data transfer is enabled by using the USB to RS232
Serial Port Cable accessory shown to the left.
