F03. BRAKE AND PARKING BRAKE
a) Check braking effort. Check for pull or
any abnormal noise.
b) Check the parking brake:
With the engine switch "IG-ON" mode
check that the brake warning light
comes on when the parking brake is
applied (and goes off when it is re-
leased).
Parking brake pedal travel at 300 N
(30.6 kgf, 67.4 lbf):
7 to 9 clicks
Parking brake lever travel at 200 N
(20.4 kgf, 50.0 lbf):
4 to 6 clicks

a) Check the brake pedal height.
Pedal height:
Manual transmission:
151.1−152.1 mm (5.95−5.99 in.)
Automatic transmission, 2WD:
156.3−157.3 mm (6.15−6.19 in.)
Automatic transmission, 4WD:
169.8−170.8 mm (6.69−6.72 in.)
b) Check the brake pedal free play.
Push in the pedal by hand and check
that the pedal free play is within the
specification.
Pedal free play: 1 - 2 mm (0.04 - 0.08
in.)
