a) Check the cruise control functions:

c) Push the main switch and check that
the "CRUISE" indicator in the instru-
ment cluster comes on and "RADAR
READY" appears on the multi-informa-
tion display. (Vehicle to vehicle dis-
tance control mode)

d) Check that cruise control mode is
changed between vehicle to vehicle dis-
tance control mode and conventional
(fixed speed) control mode by pushing
the cruise control lever for longer than
about 1 second. (No indication in the
fixed speed control mode)
e) Check that the vehicle to vehicle dis-
tance setting is changed from "Long"
to "Middle" to "Short" and then back to
IS3F012
"Long" by pulling the distance switch
on the steering wheel.
Note: Always keep the sensor and grille
cover clean.
