Depending on the country specifications, the
vehicle is equipped with one of the charging
cable variants shown. Each version of the charg-
ing cable has different controls.
Only use the charging cable supplied with the
vehicle or a charging cable approved for the
vehicle. The charging cable is intended exclu-
sively for charging the high-voltage battery at a
mains socket (mode 2).
Do not leave the charging cable controls hang-
ing loose from an electrical outlet. Otherwise,
this could result in a poor contact with the elec-
trical outlet and malfunctions when charging the
vehicle.
Never lift or carry the controls by the charging
cable connector or the mains plug.
The charging cable can be stowed and secured
in the bag provided in the trunk or cargo com-
partment of the vehicle.
During the charging process, the charging cable
and charging cable connector may heat up. If
the mains power supply and charging cable are
unimpaired, the heat generated is below the
permissible limit. If the charging cable or charg-
ing cable connector become too hot, have the
mains power supply checked.
