If you have switched on the perfume atomizer or
ionization using the multimedia system, these
will be activated together with the "Pre-entry
climate control via SmartKey" function.
Information on activating/deactivating both
functions using the multimedia system (see the
vehicle Operator's Manual).
Activating/deactivating
Before the "Pre-entry climate control via Smart-
Key" function can be activated, you must acti-
vate the function via the multimedia system
( page 50).

To activate: unlock the vehicle using the
X
SmartKey or KEYLESS-GO.
The climate control functions are activated
for up to five minutes for pre-heating and pre-
cooling.
Problems with the "Pre-entry climate control via SmartKey" function
Problem
"Pre-entry climate con-
trol via SmartKey" can-
not be activated or has
been deactivated.
Possible causes/consequences and M Solutions
The condition of charge of the high-voltage battery is under the speci-
fied minimum condition of charge.
Start the combustion engine when the vehicle is at a standstill.

The engine powers the electric motor. The electric motor operates
as a generator. The high-voltage battery is being charged.
Further information on charging the high-voltage battery
( page 29).
Y
The "Pre-entry climate control via SmartKey" function has been star-
ted more than once with the engine switched off.
Start the vehicle and leave it in the õ driving status for more than
X
ten seconds.
Try to activate the "Pre-entry climate control via SmartKey" function
X
again.
The "Pre-entry climate control via SmartKey"
function is automatically deactivated when the
vehicle is started.
The following functions remain active, even in
the õ driving status:
Seat heating (heating)
R
Seat ventilation (ventilation)
R
Perfume atomizer
R
Ionization
R
An activated "Pre-entry climate control via
SmartKey" function can be deactivated using
the pre-entry climate control rocker switch
( page 20).
