Proper Ways to Handle the Radio

Do not pound, drop, or throw the radio unnecessarily.
Never carry the radio by the antenna.

Avoid subjecting the radio to an excess of liquids.
•
Avoid subjecting the radio to corrosives, solvents or
chemicals.

Do not disassemble the radio.
•
CAUTION:
Do not use the radio without an accessory
connector or a dust cover in place as
contamination can build up on the contacts.

When charging the radio using a wall mounted charger,
the radio must be turned off. Otherwise, the Man Down
Alert and Emergency may be accidentally triggered.

Battery Charge Status
Your radio can indicate the battery's charge status through:

the LED and sounds.

the fuel gauge icon on the display.
