Connect to a wireless mobile network (via 3G)

The 3G function of your Surftab allows you to browse online without having
to connect to any Wi-Fi networks. You dial in to the network via your mobile
operator.
Insert SIM card
Switch off your device completely before inserting the SIM card. The card will
not be recognised if the device is in standby mode.
NOTICE
To prevent malfunctions and mechanical defects, never use a SIM card adapter.
a)
The SIM card slot is located under the device's cover, in the upper edge on
the back of the tablet (see chapter 7, point J). Remove the cover on the
back of the tablet by gripping the corresponding notch and sliding the
cover off the tablet with some but not too much force. Insert a ingernail
or something of similar thinness into the notch to carefully prise open the
device. Do not use any sharp or sharp-edged tools. Once the cover has
been removed, the SIM card slot will become visible.
b)
Insert the SIM card of your data service provider into SIM card slot 1 or 2.
The gold contacts of the SIM card should point downwards and the slanted
corner should be located to the upper left.
NOTICE
When inserting the SIM card or memory card, make sure that you stick the card
into the correct slot: SIM cards should only be inserted into the SIM card slot and
memory cards only into the memory card slot.
NOTICE
Use SIM card slot 1 as the primary SIM card slot.
Data is transmitted at a slower speed in SIM card slot 2; it should only be used
as a secondary slot and only for telephony.
c)
Reattach the cover by sliding it into the corresponding mount. Press the
cover down until it clicks back into place.
NOTICE
When you switch your Surftab on again after inserting the SIM card, you will
have to enter the relevant PIN number.
