Note : uncorrect tension will modify the quality of the print. Each kind of media has different tension value. This
Depending on the substrate loaded in the printer, you can activate or deactivate the tension for [RIP Settings]
selected. Periodically is recommended for most circumstances and is performed every 5m. The measurement value
will be done according the [Media Tension] setting. If the Tension Measurement is turned to Off, the substrate
system will roll more media than needed to avoid tension. This will result of a long length above the length feed.

According to Tension Measurement, the sequence will check [Periodically], [Every Page] or [Off] the tension value
selected in this section. You can choose from 0 (no tension) to 40 (high tension). Depending on the media type, we
suggest you to use these tension chart values :

In the case you don't really know what is the best tension settings, please refer to this generic rule :

For thin media = low tension

for medium media = medium tension
‐
thick and heavy media = high tension
Reminder : each time [RIP Settings] is selected, all media loaded with this selection will use the settings described
above. For more options, please refer to your RIP software to apply additional media settings.
