Starting recording
1. When off-road navigation is activated, press
the g button.
2. Press the i button or touch the tab of
the same name in the header.
3. Select "
Record trace
".
4. Select "
From start point
" if you wish to start
recording from the start of the journey. Trace
recording is continued, starting from the
current point. The data automatically stored
from the beginning of the journey is
transferred.

Select "
From current position
" if you wish to
start recording from the current position. The
data automatically stored from the beginning
of the journey is deleted.
If you terminate the trace during recording, delete
the trace, or change the grid for setting the
navigation points, you will only be able to record a

Ending trace recording
1. Press the g button while recording is
underway.
2. Press the i button or touch the tab of
the same name in the header.
3. Select "
End trace
".
Saving a recording
As soon as you end a trace recording you are
asked whether this trace should be saved in the
destination memory.
1. Confirm the message that appears by

selecting "

2. The input menu is opened. A suggestion for a
name is already provided in the input field.
3. Change the suggested name as required and
confirm your entry by selecting "

Setting the grid for setting the navigation
points
You can set the intervals at which the so-called
navigation points are set during trace recording.

The navigation system automatically
generates a navigation point at geometrically
practical locations in order to record the trace.
The number of navigation points set by the
system depends on the frequency of the
changes in direction.

Here you define at what point in the driven
route a navigation point is to be set during
trace recording. The navigation points are set
regardless of any changes in direction.
Up to 1,000 navigation points per trace are set
