Taking Movies

The FinePix is capable of shooting short movies with sound recorded via the built-in
microphone.
1. Rotate the Mode Dial to Movie mode
2. The time available for recording will be displayed in
the Monitor Window.
Please Note: The amount of available time for
recording depends upon the amount of
available memory.
See Storing Images for further information.
Please Note: The greater the image quality chosen, the more memory space will
be consumed, thus reducing the amount of time available for recording.
Recording in 320 will produce the lowest quality, but allow the longest recording
times.
4. To turn picture stabilisation on for reduced blur,
press the round MENU/OK button, to display the
Shooting Menu and select ON for DUAL IS MODE.
Press MENU/OK to exit Movie Mode.
5. To select the type of zoom to be used, press the
round MENU/OK button, to display the Shooting
Menu and select an option from MOVIE WITH ZOOM.
OPTICAL will enable optical zoom and focussing,
DIGITAL will enable digital zoom and turn off
focussing.
Press MENU/OK to exit Movie Mode.
Please Note: The sound of the lens may be recorded with OPTICAL ZOOM, and
DIGITAL ZOOM may reduce the quality of the recorded movie.

3. Press the
button to select a frame size from
the QUALITY menu.
Choose 1280 HD for High Definition, 640, or 320, fol-
lowed by the round MENU/OK button to exit.
