quires premium fuel with a research octane
rating
no lower
than
97.
The 8.5 to 1 compression ratio,
standard on
Synchro-Mesh, requires 90 octane fuel.
Military personnel, tourists
and
others planning to drive
their car outside
of
continental United StaJes or Canada
should check availability
of
this grade fuel before
leaving.
Use of fuels with low octane rating can result in severe
engine knock and-possible damage to engine parts.
