1. Shift the outboard to neutral (N) position.
IMPORTANT: Refer to Spark Plug Inspection and Replacement for removing
spark plug leads.
2. Remove the spark plug leads to prevent the engine from starting.
3. Straighten the bent tabs on the propeller nut retainer.
4. Place a block of wood between the gearcase and the propeller, and
remove the propeller nut.
