TROUBLESHOOTING

4-2-7. When an error occurs in self diagnostic mode (in case of a sensor error)

- A sensor error is displayed on the front display panel of the refrigerator. If a sensor error is detected when the power is supplied to the refrigerator for the
first time, the sensor error message is displayed on the display panel.
- Even if a sensor error occurs during an operation, the refrigerator does not stop. However, the refrigerator operates in emergency operating mode and
the cooling operation may not be performed properly. Therefore, in this case, check the refrigerator referring to the self diagnostic section in this manual.
① When the "13E" (humidity sensor) or "16E" (internal humidity sensor) error occurs
☞ Check the i n put vol t age to the humi d i t y sensor
Humi d i t y sensor operati n g vol t age: 5 V
Check i f 5 V i s measured at the humi d i t y sensor
connectors #1-#2.
☞ Check the output vol t age from the humi d i t y sensor
Check the vol t ages of the humi d i t y sensor
connectors #1-#4 referri n g to the humi d i t y sensor
vol t age tabl e .
② When the "2E" (fridge temperature sensor) error occurs. (Please also check the other sensors by applying these
troubleshooting procedures.)
Refer to the descriptions about the
circuit operation and how to check
the temperature sensor.
Start
Are the Main PBA connectors CN30 and
CN50 inserted properly?
Yes
Is DC 5 V supplied normally to the hinge
humidity sensor
connectors #1-#2?
Yes
Is the humidity sensor output within the
normal range? (1~4 V)
Yes
Check if the humidity sensor is normal and
check the wire and housing connections.
Replace the PBA if necessary.
Start
Is the fridge sensor normal?
Yes
Is the Main PBA connector CN30 inserted
properly?
Yes
Is the insertion order of the wires of the
connector CN30 the same as that on the
circuit diagram?
Yes
Are the input voltages of the CN30 #5 and
#7 pins
within the normal temperature range?
Yes
Doubl e -check the wi r e and connecti n g part of the
connector and repl a ce the PBA i f necessary.

Reconnect the connector
properly or repair the
connector.
No
Check the wire and housing
connections
No
Replace the humidity sensor
No
Replace the temperature sensor.
No
Reconnect the connector properly or
repair the connector.
No
Reconnect the connector
according to the circuit diagram.
No
Check the wire connection and
replace the PBA if necessary.
