After you have selected the options you re-
quire, position the cursor in front of Start guid-
ance and begin the route calculation process
by pressing the ENT key.
Note:
A situation my arise where a route is calculat-
ed which includes an option that you actually
wanted excluded when making your selec-
tions. If, for example, you selected the "without
ferry" option but your destination is only reach-
able by ferry because it is located on an is-
land, the system will calculate a route using
the "with ferry" option contrary to your selec-
tion.
After you have entered your destination and
guidance has been started by pressing the
ENT key, you can begin your journey. The
system begins to calculate a route using the
road map that is stored on the CD. The display
shows a message informing you that the route
is being calculated. Afterwards, an arrow ap-
pears indicating the direction in which the des-
tination lies. The Calculating route message
is displayed and the voice output indicates
that: "The route is being calculated". In addi-
tion, the distance to the destination "as the
crow flies" is also displayed.
