" PEI" SYSTEM
I n the FA50 ignition system, the
PEI
The system uses a magneto as the power source, and the capacitor (condenser) momenta ri l y
stores a cha rge u p t o hundreds of volts.
The cha rge is instantly discharged, at the specified ignition timing, to the ignition coil primary
winding, thus inducing a high su rge of voltage in the secondary winding.

The magneto has no brea ker points and therefore it is free from mechanical trouble. This
ensures a stabler secondary high voltage and better spark performance.
