Parameters
marked

asterisk
cannot
be
altered
from
the panel.
To
make
changes
in
them,
you
will
need
to
use
MID!
Exclusive
messages.
Note
that
the values
for
these
parameters
will
ordinarily
be
placed
at
predetermined
values
which
are
dependent
on
the
Reverb
and
Chorus
type
that
is
selected.
At
the
factory
defaults,
the
Reverb Type
is
set to
Hall
2,
and
the
Chorus Type
is
set to
Chorus
3;
and
thus the values
for
these
parameters
will
be
at the values
shown
above.
If
for
some
reason
you
do
not hear the
sound you
expect
to,
or suspect
that
something
is
wrong
with the
way
the
unit
is
operating,
first
check
through
the items
that follow.

No
Sound
Produced
•
Is
all
of
your
equipment
ON?
•
Are you
sure
connections with
all
other devices
have been
made
properly?
•
Have
you checked
for
damaged
cables?
•
Is
sound produced
normally through
headphones?
if
so,
then the
unit
you have
connected,
or the intervening cables
should
be checked.
•
Could
the
volume on
your
amplifier or
mixer be too low?
•
Could
the
volume on
your P-55 be
too low?
O
Check
the
position of
the
volume
knob.
O
Check
the
value
that
is
set for
the
Part Level.
•
Do
you have
the appropriate
setting
made
for
the reception
channel
for
the
Part?
•
Could
the
Part
possibly
be muted?
•
Have
you
selected the
sound
correctly?
If
you
are
using
MIDI
data
to select
sounds,
and you
specify
a
sound
that
the P-55
does
not contain,
it
will
not
produce
sound.
If
the
letters
"noi"
appear
for
the
sound number,
it
means
that
the P-55
does
not contain
that
sound.
