2-1 Printing from applications

You can print to the iR C2100/2100S just as you would print to any other
printer from any application software. First, select the iR C2100/2100S as
the current printer in the Chooser, and then print the file from within the
application.
Another way to print from a Mac OS computer is to download PostScript,
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), or Portable Document Format (PDF) files
using Fiery Downloader. Basic instructions are provided at the end of this
chapter.
Printing from applications
Before you can print to the iR C2100/2100S from applications, you must
select the iR C2100/2100S in the Chooser. Then, using the Adobe PostScript
printer driver and the correct PostScript Printer Description file (PPD), you
can control many iR C2100/2100S printing features by specifying job
settings from print dialog boxes.

The iR C2100/2100S supports simplex (one-sided) printing of jobs

that contain multiple page sizes and media types. If Duplex printing is
specified for jobs that contain multiple page sizes and media types, the
iR C2100/2100S will automatically process those jobs for simplex printing.
When you print with multiple media types, a combination of plain paper and
a different media type is selectable from the Media Type print option.

Selecting the iR C2100/2100S in the Chooser

Before you print a job, make sure the iR C2100/2100S is the currently
selected printer.
