When an activated answering machine is hidden it is deactivated. When it is set to show
again, the answering machine returns to the status it had before it was hidden.
Specifying the number of rings before the answering machine
starts
You can set when you want the answering machine to activate (after how many rings).
The options are: 1 ring tone, 2 ring tone, ..., or 9 ring tone. Instead of a set number of
rings, you can also set the charge saving setting Automatic 2/4 (factory default).
In this setting the answering machine activates automatically:
after 2 rings if there are new messages;
after 4 rings if there are no new messages.
Requirement: You have selected an answering machine (page 85).
