KEY submode (4 key*)
(*You can switch back to this KEY submode from any other submode by pressing
the 4 key.)
With the cassette sensor status screen displayed, press the Enter key. The
machine displays "KEY" and enters the KEY submode.
Press the Enter key to start checking keys.
Press the key to start checking keys.
Press all keys (except key) as shown in Figure 3.2-1, starting from the DECO
MODE (left, center right), Print, , , ... keys. Keep pressing keys from right to
left on the row. And then press keys from left to right on the next row, ... from left
to right on the bottom row.
As shown below, a key to be pressed next appears, so follow the indication. (In
this example, you should press the 1 key.)
If the pressed key works normally, the key to be pressed next appears. If any error is
noted, however, the LCD shows the "X" together with the key to be pressed as shown
below. Press the key displayed on the LCD to proceed. (If this error persists and the
test no longer proceeds, then go to Chapter IV, TROUBLESHOOTING.)
