Memory

The HP ProLiant SL335s G7 Server has 12 DIMM slots that support up to 128 GB maximum system
memory.
You must adhere to the following guidelines when adding or replacing memory modules:
•
Speed is 800 MHz, 1067 MHz, and 1333 MHz depending on DIMM population.
•
Supports 12 DDR3 RDIMM or UDIMM slots (6 DIMMs per CPU) with a maximum of 12 (SR or DR)
RDIMM, 4 (QR) RDIMM, or 8 (SR/DR) UDIMM slots. For more information on DIMM population see
table below.
•
2 channels per processor
•
3 DIMMs-per-channel (DPC)
•
Unganged DIMM population support (ganged no longer supported)
•
RAS-Advanced ECC, Online Spare
•
DIMM 0 is the furthest to the CPU and DIMM2 is the closest from the CPU for each channel.
•
Channel B is the closest to the CPU and channel A is the furthest from the CPU
•
Installing the DIMMs from DIMM0, a QR DIMM module can only inserted into DIMM1 for RDIMM
slots. UDIMM slots do not support QR DIMM modules. For more information, refer to below table.
