Safety information for the system owner
Personnel and physicians must be trained in the safe and effec-
tive use of MR systems. The training must include the following

Emergency medical care
Controlled access area
Emergency switches
Measures preventing fires
Quench emergency plan
Prevention of hazards related to magnet forces
Combinations with other devices
The physician must complete a special training course on inter-
preting images.
Untrained or uninformed personnel!

Damage to measurement phantoms
Fire hazard due to lens effect
Train all personnel who have access to the MR system
(incl. cleaning crews, rescue personnel, etc.).
Inform these people with respect to the hazards and
protective measures to be used when handling mea-
surement phantoms.
Ensure that the training includes the topic on "Handling
leaks occurring with measurement phantoms " as well
as "Handling and storing measurement phantoms".
