SPBM runs on MSTI 4092. For two SPBM neighbors to establish an adjacency, you must activate MSTI
4092 on both of them and make sure their in-between link has connectivity. To forward traffic on the link,
you must also configure the same MST region parameters on the devices, including:
Format selector. The value for this parameter is fixed at 0.
Region name.
Revision level.
VLAN-to-MSTI mapping table.
To configure MST region parameters on a BEB or BCB:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter MST region view.
3.
Configure the MST
region name.
4.
Configure the MSTP
revision level.
5.
Map B-VLANs to MSTI
4092.
6.
Activate the MST region
configuration.

Enabling SPBM

You must enable SPBM both globally and on the provider network ports on all BEBs and BCBs in the
SPBM network.
To enable SPBM:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enable SPBM globally.
3.
Return to system view.
4.
Enter Layer 2 Ethernet
interface view or Layer 2
aggregate interface view.
5.
Enable SPBM on the
interface.
6.
Configure the port link
type.
Command
