Remove the SMP filler from the compute node, if one is present.

Remove the protective covers from the connectors on the scalability and performance connector.

Press the blue release button to release the handle and rotate the handle to the fully open position.

Align the guide pins on the scalability and performance connector with the guide pin sockets on

the compute node and press the connector against the compute node.

Note: Make sure that the handle is in the open position to engage the connector with the compute

Press the handle against the assembly to lock the assembly against the compute node.
