Important: The compute nodes must have Intel Xeon E7-8800v3 microprocessors to form a four-node
(eight-socket) complex.
To remove a scalability and performance connector, complete the following steps:
Step 1.
Press the blue release button to release the handle and disengage the scalability and performance
connector from the compute node.
Step 2.
Grip the handle and pull the scalability and performance connector from the compute node.
Note: Make sure that the handle is in the open position before disconnecting the connector
from the compute node.
If you are instructed to return the scalability and performance connector, follow all packaging instructions,
and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
See "Working with scalable partitions" on page 24 for information about configuring, modifying, and deleting
scalable partitions.
Important: With the scalability connector removed, each compute node must be configured for standalone
operation.
