3.4.3 Applications
MT6601 is designed to provide direct interface with existing handset chip as shown in Figure
3-4-2.
The PCM interface provides master or slave mode operation with programmable data
frequency to connect to the voice channel with the GSM baseband. The UART interface
supports hardware flow control as well as high-speed baud rate. The PTA interface
accommodates different arbitration scheme enabling efficient channel utilization in co-existence
environment.
The external reference clock interface supports wide ranges of frequencies that the mobile
phones use.
