Fan

Description
Fan (includes cable)
Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:
a.
Battery (see
b.
Optical drive (see
c.
Base enclosure (see
d.
Disconnect the WLAN cable (see
Remove the fan:
1.
Release the WLAN cable (1) from the clips on the left speaker clip and move the WLAN cable out of the
way.
2.
Disconnect the fan cable (2) from the system board.
3.
Remove the three Phillips M2.0 x 4.5 screws (3) that secure the fan to the top cover.
4.
Remove the fan (4).
