5. Remove the carbon deposits
on the muffler screen and
spark arrester using a wire
brush.
NOTICE
When cleaning, use the wire

brush lightly to avoid damaging
or scratching of the muffler
screen and spark arrester.
6. Check the muffler screen and
spark arrester.
Replace them if damaged.
7. Install the spark arrester.
TIP
Align the spark arrester projection
with the hole in the muffler pipe.

8. Install the muffler screen and
muffler cap, and then tighten
the muffler cap bolt.
Muffler cap bolt tightening
torque:
2.5 Nm (0.25 m•kgf, 1.8 ft•lbf)

9. Install the rear cover and
tighten the rear cover screws.

5. Éliminez les dépôts de calami-
ne de la grille du silencieux et
du pare-étincelles à l'aide
d'une brosse métallique.
Lors du nettoyage, utilisez la
brosse métallique avec précau-
tion pour éviter d'endommager
ou d'érafler la grille du silen-
cieux et le pare-étincelles.
6. Vérifiez la grille du silencieux
et le pare-étincelles.
Remplacez-les si endommagés.
7. Installez le pare-étincelles.
N.B.
Alignez la saillie du pare-étin-
celles.

8. Installez le couvercle arrière et
serrez les vis.
Couple de serrage du boulon du
bouchon du silencieux :
2,5 Nm
(0,25 m•kgf, 1,8 ft•lbf)
9. Installez le couvercle arrière,
puis serrez les vis.
