Game flow
Basic rules
1. When all the ships have been arranged on the player grids, move the on/off
switch to "LOW" (low volume) or "HIGH" (high volume) to turn the product on. You
will be greeted by a sound effect.
Note: If you do not press any button for 3 minutes, sound effects will be played at
regular intervals. After 3 more minutes, the product will go into standby mode to
save battery life. To exit standby mode and resume playing, press any button.
2. STAR WARS GALAXY WARS is a turn-based game. Let's call the two players
"player 1" and "player 2". At the beginning of the first turn, player 1 announces
the coordinate that he/she is targeting on the grid, with the letter of the row and
the number of the column. For example, if he/she wants to target the bottom-right
corner of the grid, he/she announces "J9" and then presses the fire/attack button.
3. If a ship has not been hit, player 2 announces so and then presses the miss
button. Player 1 puts a white peg in "J9" on his/her target grid (i.e. vertical grid) to
remember that this coordinate is empty. Player 2 does not need to put a white peg
in "J9" on his/her player grid (i.e. horizontal grid).
4. If a ship has been hit, player 2 announces so and then presses the hit/destroy
button. Player 1 puts a red peg in "J9" on his/her target grid to remember that this
coordinate contains a ship. Player 2 needs to put a red peg in "J9" on his/her player
grid.
Note: Never mention which specific ship the opponent has hit! It is up to your
opponent to find out by hitting adjacent coordinates until the ship is destroyed.
5. Player 1's turn is now over. Player 2 follows step 2 to 4 and so on.
6. Imagine that player 1 has hit the last coordinate of a ship. Since the ship has
been destroyed, player 2 announces so and then long-presses the hit/destroy
button. Long-pressing the hit/destroy button triggers a unique sound effect
which indicates that a ship has been destroyed. Player 1 puts a red peg on his
target grid, while player 2 puts a red peg on his player grid. Player 1 then puts a flag
at the top of the vertical barrier to indicate that an enemy ship has been destroyed.
7. The player who destroys all 5 enemy ships first wins the game. Don't forget to
put the last flag at the top of the vertical barrier. The opponent has been wiped out,
victory is yours!
8. If you want to play again, remove all the pegs, ships and flags. When this is
done, you can deploy your ships again and start a new game by following step 1
above.
9. When you have finished playing or when you want to take a break, move the on/
off switch to "OFF" to turn the product off. A sound effect will be played.
