However, when T SQ is on, and a tone signal cannot
be detected, or N SQ is on and noise is detected, this
lights red even if the RF level is above the RF squelch
level.
9 T SQ/N SQ(tone squelch/noise squelch) check
boxes
These turn tone squelch and noise squelch on or off.
When there is a check mark in the check box, the
function is on.
Normally set both on.
Turn them off when looking for external interference
or noise.
Note
While this unit is in receiving standby or is receiving
when the RF level is low, setting these off may cause
damage to connected devices or speakers as a result of
noise. When these settings are off, be sure to operate
with the inputs to the connected devices kept low.
0 RF (radio frequency) level A and B displays
The RF levels for each of the A and B antennas are
shown by the bar lengths. The red portion is the RF
squelch level, and the blue portion the actual receiving
level. If the RF level is less than the RF squelch level,
the bar consists of the red portion only, and this
indicates that the audio output is muted.
The marker
indicates which of antennas A and B has
the better receiving conditions.
qa RF (radio frequency input) squelch level setting
slider
Drag the slider to set the RF muting level in the range
0 (off) to 30 dB (in 10 dB increments).
The setting level is indicated by the position of the
slider on the RF level indicator scale.
Interpreting the RF level and the RF squelch level
setting
• When the RF squelch level is 0 dB (off)
The bar showing the RF level is entirely green.
• When the RF squelch level is below the RF level
In the example shown above, the RF squelch level is
set to 10 dB. The bar showing the RF level has a
portion corresponding to the RF squelch level (10
dB) which is red, and the remaining portion
indicating the actual receiving level is green.
• When the RF squelch level is higher than the RF
level
In the example shown above, the RF squelch level is
set to 20 dB. The bar showing the RF level has a
portion corresponding to the RF squelch level (20
dB) which is red, but no green portion corresponding
to the actual receiving level. In other words, this
shows that the audio output is muted.
Note
When the receiving conditions are poor, lower the RF
squelch level.
qs AF (audio frequency) output level indication
This shows the output level of the audio signal.
Display in local mode
When the MB-8N is in local mode, the setting screen
for each WRU-8N unit installed in the MB-8N is as
follows.
If a fault occurs on the WRU-8N
If a fault occurs on the WRU-8N, the WRU-8N
settings display appears as follows.
Stop operations with this software, and check the
status of the MB-8N and WRU-8N units.
