1 Detailed settings
MB-8N settings
When you click on an MB-8N icon or the host name
shown to the right of the icon in the tree display, the
MB-8N settings appear in the detailed settings
window.
1 SET button
Slot numbers
5 ANT POWER check box
4 ANT ATT list
1 SET button
Click this to enable changed settings.
(The changed settings are saved in memory in the MB-
8N.)
Note
When you change the settings, even when the
indications change the settings are still not effective.
To make the changed settings effective, you must click
the SET button.
2 Lv (level) button
This sets the audio output level for each WRU-8N
output from the AUDIO OUT connector on the rear
panel of the MB-8N.
Each time you click cycles through the following
sequence.
Line: –20 dBm
Mic: –58 dBm
OFF: no output
When OFF is selected, no audio signal is output from
the AUDIO OUT connector, but it is output from the
SUB AUDIO OUT connector.
3 Phone button
This sets the audio output of each WRU-8N unit to
stereo headphones connected to the PHONES
connector on the front panel of the MB-8N.
Each time you click cycles through the following
sequence.
L: Output the left channel only to the headphones
R: Output the right channel only to the headphones
2 Lv button
LR: Output both left and right channels to the
3 Phone button
Notes on headphones output settings
• When you are using the MB-8N connected to the
network, switching the control mode from local to
remote or vice versa may not refresh the settings
display on the computer.
Whenever you switch the mode, make sure of the
headphones settings on the MB-8N display.
• In remote mode, the setting value "1" is shown in the
MB-8N display if you make any headphones output
setting other than the following.
Output setting for L: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1&2, ALL (all of 1
Output setting for R: 1, 2, 3, 4, 3&4, ALL (all of 1
4 ANT ATT (antenna attenuation) list
Set the antenna RF attenuation level for each of A and
B. (The left side is antenna A, and the right side is
antenna B.)
Click the down arrow button to display the list,
5 ANT (antenna) POWER check box
For an AN-820 or other antenna requiring a power
feed, check this to supply 9 V DC from the
ANTENNA A, B IN/DC 9V OUT connectors on the
rear panel of the MB-8N.
To select remote mode when in local mode
When the MB-8N is in local mode, the MB-8N setting
display appears as follows, and operation from this
software is not possible.
To change to remote mode, click the Remote button
(forced remote).
