Enter a password for the specified folder.
❏ Connection Mode
Select the connection mode.
❏ Port Number
Enter a port number.
Format
Select the format in which to save the scanned image. When you select TIFF (Multi Page), only
monochrome scanning is available.
Menu
❏ File Settings
Enter a prefix for the name of the images in Filename Prefix in alphanumeric characters and
symbols.
❏ Basic Settings
Set the scan settings for the originals. See the common setting menus in scanning for more details.
❏ Scan Report
Prints a history that shows when and to which folder the scanned images have been sent.

Scanning to a Memory Device

You can save the scanned image to a memory device.
1. Insert a memory device into the printer's memory card slot or external interface USB port.
2. Place the originals.
Note:
If you want to scan multiple originals or make a 2-sided scan, place all of the originals on the ADF.
3. Enter Scan from the home screen.
4. Select Memory Device.
5. Press Format, and then select the file save format.
6. Press Settings, and then make scan settings.
Note:
❏ When you select PDF as the file format, you can set a password to protect the file. Select PDF Settings, and then
make settings.
❏ Press Preset to save your settings as a preset.
