Select when you want to acquire the IP address automatically.
❏ Manual
Select when you want to set a unique DNS server address to the printer. Enter the addresses for the Primary
DNS Server and the Secondary DNS Server.
❏ Proxy Server
❏ Use
Select when you are using a proxy server in your network environment and you want to set it to the printer.
Enter the proxy server address and port number.
❏ Do Not Use
Select when you are using the printer in a home network environment.
❏ Email Server
❏ Server Settings
You can select the server from Off, POP before SMTP, or SMTP-AUTH.
❏ Connection Check
You can check the connection for e-mail server. See Administrator's Guide if an error occurs when
performing Connection Check.
❏ IPv6 Address
❏ Enable
Select this when using an IPv6 address.
❏ Disable
Select this when using an IPv4 address.
❏ Wi-Fi Direct
❏ Enable
Allow computers or smart devices to connect using Wi-Fi Direct.
❏ Disable
Reject computers or smart devices that are trying to connect using Wi-Fi Direct. If Disable is selected, no
computers or smart devices can connect to the printer directly.
❏ MS Network Sharing
❏ Enable
Use MS Network service.
❏ Disable
Prohibit file sharing using the MS Network service. You cannot share files by network scanning.

You can check the network connection status using the network icon on the printer's home screen. The icon
changes depending on the connection type and strength of the radio wave.
