Charge the battery
Before using your new power tool
for the first time.
After an out-of-service period of
more than 3 months – if necessary.
If you use your power tool
repeatedly for short periods only
with frequent engine starts – if
necessary.

Charging the Battery

A factory-new battery is not fully
charged.
It must be fully charged before you use
the power tool for the first time.
Charging with the power supply

Operate the power supply indoors only
in dry locations at an ambient
temperature between 0°C and +40°C.

Move the slide control to STOP-0
(h).

Insert the barrel connector (1) into
the charge socket (2) on the power
tool.

Plug the power supply (3) into a
properly installed wall outlet – the
mains voltage and the operating
voltage of the power supply must be
the same.
The charge process begins.
Charge time
10 minutes:
1 hour:
The charge time is dependent on a
number of factors, including battery
condition, ambient temperature, etc.,
and may therefore vary from the
specified charge times.

After charging, disconnect the
power supply from the wall outlet.

Disconnect the barrel connector
from the power tool's charge socket.
Charging with the 12V/24V charging
cable
The 12V/24V charging cable is available
as a special accessory and connects to
a vehicle power source (12V/24V) to
charge the battery. It can be plugged
into the cigarette lighter socket, for
example.
Depending on the type of vehicle, the
12V/24V charging cable may operate
only when the ignition is switched on.
Refer to the vehicle maker's handbook.
