Power Connections to Indoor Cameras

Warning!
The indoor or outdoor AutoDome Junior IP or HD models can accept power from the 24 VAC
power input or from the Ethernet input. Ensure that the camera receives power from only one

source.
Refer to Ethernet Connection (IP models), page 40, for more information about connecting
Power over Ethernet.

Notice!
The camera unit accepts 24 VAC, 1.2 A power only. Do not connect 120 V or 230 V to this
camera.

Ethernet Connection (IP models)

The AutoDome Junior HD connects to a 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX network either directly or via a
switch. Both video and control are transmitted over a standard TCP/IP network using the
built-in Web server. In addition, power is supplied to indoor HD IP camera via the Ethernet
cable compliant with the Power-over-Ethernet + (IEEE 802.3at, class 4) standard.
Notice!
The heater in an outdoor AutoDome Junior HD unit accepts power only from a 24 VAC power
source. The heater cannot be powered via the Power-over-Ethernet + (IEEE 802.3at, class 4)
standard.

Locate the cable assembly with a three (3) pin mating connector on one end and the red
and black flying leads on the other end.
Connect one lead of the 24 VAC power source to the black wire.
Connect the other lead of the 24 VAC power source to the red wire.
Connect the green earth ground cable to a suitable grounded conduit.
