Troubleshooting
Error message
There isn't available LPT
Port.
This ASPI manager does
not support this mode of
Windows. You typically
see this error code when
running Windows in Real
Mode
SCSI device can not be
used. Because ASPI dll
file is not exist or doesn't
match.
SCSI device is not
responded.
Status Display does not
exist.
winaspi.dll is not found.

Possible cause
Unavailable LPT port is selected
when using Windows 3.1.
SCSI board is not correctly set.
SCSI board is not installed correctly
in the computer and/or it is not set
correctly.
Printer and/or scanner are not
responding.
KX-PS8000 software is not installed
correctly.
SCSI board is not correctly set.
Recovery
Select the other available LPT port by
following the procedure below.
1. Double click the Main icon.
2. Double click the Control Panel icon.
3. Double click the Printers icon.
4. Click Connect... .
5. Click the other port, then click OK.
6. Click Close.
Restart Windows in Enhanced mode.
Confirm that the SCSI board is correctly
installed in the computer and it is correctly
set. (Refer to the instructions manual of
the SCSI board.)
For any other trouble related to SCSI,
refer to the SCSI section of
Troubleshooting
(
P.147).
Click Yes or No on the message window.
Yes: Printer and scanner cannot be used.
Turn off the system (printer / scanner /
computer), then turn it on again.
No: Waits until the printer and/or scanner
responds.
Reinstall the KX-PS8000 software.
Correctly set the SCSI board in the
computer. (Refer to the instructions
manual of the SCSI board.)

refer to the SCSI section of
Troubleshooting

P.147).
