Viscosity classes depending on outside temperature
32 °F - 86 °F (0 °C – 30 °C)
68 °F - above 86 °F (20 °C – above 30 °C)
5 °F - above 86 °F (-15 °C – above 30 °C)
5 °F - 86 °F (-15 °C – 30 °C)
-4 °F - 68 °F (-20 °C – 20 °C)
-4 °F - 50 °F (-20 °C – 10 °C)
-4 °C - above 86 °F (-20 °C – above 30 °C)
below -22 °F - above 86 °F
(below -30 °C – above 30 °C)
Oils with x > 40 are available from your authorized BMW motorcycle retailer.
All engine oils supplied by BMW Motorrad are subject to regular BMW quality assurance checks.
Oil additives are not required and are not recommended.
Different engine oils may not be mixed.
